This is a 4 week course to help you get your body functioning again the way it should, to help you cope with the demands of a new baby and avoid the common back pain and pelvic floor issues that occur after having a baby.
When you are pregnant your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles that help support the body get stretched and weakened, without re-training and strengthening these vital muscles you will have endless problems in the future with your back and pelvic floor muscles. Feel confident to jump or sneeze again with out the worry of accidents, it is a common problem amongst mums, let’s change that!
Week 1 – An introduction to The Hypopressive method, what it is, how it works and begin to really feel the benefits. This is the ultimate method for pelvic floor control.
Week 2 – Pilates – move and bend your body with confidence and re-train your abdominal muscles to trim in your waist and flatten your tummy and tone the whole body, this is a good all over body workout with a focus on those mummy areas we all hate.
Week 3 – Yoga relax – We are going to stretch you out. After countless hours of sitting and feeding or picking up your baby or carrying the car seat or pushing your buggy whilst juggling shopping bags your muscles will tighten and shorten, we want to show you easy techniques you can do at home to help alleviate this before it becomes a big problem. We will also be showing you relaxation techniques to help you switch off when the opportunity arises helping you cope better with the demands of motherhood.
Week 4 – Second chance to try Hypopressives and really get to grips with re-building the strength in your pelvic floor, this is definitely a life changing technique when practiced and is for anyone but particularly helpful for postnatal mums, the earlier you get to grips with it the better.
Each week we will be handing out information sheets for you to read and practice in your own time.
We only take small groups of no more than 6 people with one instructor so we can give you the attention you need and deserve.
